Best Sulfate-Free Hair Products

It's that dreaded day, Monday again but, at last, I am back with something for you all to enjoy. It's also about my absolute new favorite hair care products. These two things were the last things that I purchased before beginning my no-buy, or were basically the reason for my lovely boyfriend to challenge me on this no-buy.

Who all here, is interested in sulfate and alcohol free hair products? I AM. I have been trying since I was in high school to find a great sulfate-free cleansing conditioner. I was super interested in WEN for the longest time and i did tons a research on it, but I just could never justify the money for it when I was in high school. Then, my mother purchased it for herself and I tried it out. Oddly enough, I hated it. My hair texture was all wrong. I NEVER get greasy hair. EVER. Unfortunately, I was very shocked and disappointed to find out that my third day hair was unbelievably greasy. It was probably one of the greatest disappointments in hair care that I have ever had. Now, my sister and mom swear by this stuff but they also both have thick,  fine hair. I think that the main reason I didn't enjoy this hair care product was because it was the cleansing conditioner for fine hair. I have a feeling if I purchased the kind that is meant for coarse hair that I would have a better experience with it, but the experience I did have kind of put me off the WEN train.

So since then I have been on a search for a great product. I've looked into tons of them; drug store and high end. For some reason, I just couldn't find one I was interested in, until about 3 weeks ago, I found my new love.

DermOrganic conditioning shampoo and masque. They also have an oil but I'm on a no-buy after than. Now, you can easily find this on Amazon. There is a kit of the shampoo, masque and oil for $20.55 which is an awesome deal. However, if you aren't interested in online shopping, Target carries it in their "high-end" hair product section. The shampoo and the masque are $16 a piece. So that's $32 in total, that I paid for my favorite thing ever. I'm not sure how much the oil costs at target, but maybe one day that will be on my list of things to purchase too. After I get close to using this all up, I will definitely be buying the Liters. These can be purchased at Amazon in a duo pack for $42. Great deal right??

Seriously, I may never switch shampoo. Maybe you're looking for information about sulfate-free products to try to decide on one, or maybe you're interested in this particular brand; either way, I'll give you the info you need.

DermOrganic Conditioning Shampoo - It is sulfate-free and color safe. It is made with certified Argan Oil. It is 12 Fl. oz.  and also has Amino Acids and EFA Cleansers. This has the same directions as every other shampoo. Apply to wet hair, massage, and rinse.

DermOrganic Masque also has certified Argan Oil and is infused with rice keratin. This is only 8.45 Fl. oz.  and should only be used 1-2 times a week. The directions for this is to apply from scalp to roots and let sit for 3-5 minutes and then rinse.

Now here are the good things about these products.

They are vegan haircare, not tested on animals, no artificial preservatives, sulfate and gluten free, no sodium chloride, salt, MEA, DEA or dyes, paraben free and propylene clycol free, and are pH balanced at 4.5-5.5

Maybe these things aren't important to you, and that's fine. I believe there will always be hair care products with sulfate in them. Everyone has different hair types so it will react with your hair differently. For me, the first time I used it I could tell a difference in how my hair looks. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure we all think that when we first use a new hair care product. They always seem more moisturizing but the more we use them, the more we can actually see if our hair is changing. There is absolutely no way that anyone can repair split ends. Products can mask them, but the only way to rid of them is to cut them off. I realize, this sucks and we all want to be able to repair them but you can't.

I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week, but each time I wash it, I can tell a difference. It is so much smoother, and easier to comb through than it has ever been before. I can actually tell that it's moisturized. Most of the time I feel like at first I think my hair is moisturized but as the day(s) go on, my hair gets dried out, the ends look scraggly and limp. I don't really see that happening with this stuff at all.

Using this in conjunction with my no heat usage, it actually going really great. Though I can't figure out exactly how to do my hair, I can really see it becoming healthy again.

Testimony for you: My boyfriend and I were give his daughter a bath last week, and for some reason her mother only combs her hair, after she takes a bath. Now this drives me BONKERS. Every time this adorable toddler comes to my house, her hair is in a birds nest. Well, during this bath he tried to comb through her hair and it was literally impossible. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. The back of it looked like someone had teased it, rolled it into a ball, and then tied knots in it. So I put this masque in her hair and let it set. Then after a couple minutes went by, I said try to comb her hair. The comb went STRAIGHT through it. The comb didn't even catch. After that, my boyfriend said,"That was amazing". Coming from him, this comment pretty much showed his approval for my hair care quest.

Here are some pictures of the products that way you know what you're looking for, if you decide to get it, or maybe you're just interested in what I use.
